this dream was a lot more vivid than i can really write down. i could feel everything. the temperature, the breezes, my muscles getting tired from holding on to things, etc. these are the basic details, though.

we were going down into some sort of mine shaft museum or something. there was a little stream. i think there was a water park there, too. i kept giving warnings, but people weren't really listening to me. so i grabbed the people i cared about that i was there with, and we got into some sort of super-armored bus. then the tidal-wave was coming, and people were panicking. some of them wanted to get into our bus, but we couldn't let them in. the tidal wave hit, and it jarred us pretty hard inside the bus. it was air-tight, so we weren't going to drown in it. sometimes, we'd surface, and sometimes we were under the water. the only thing we could do is ride it out. we saw some other people in a vehicle. i remember there was a hand. a small hand. maybe a woman's or a child's. it hit the window a few times. the person was trying to get out. the fingers were spread. then the window cracked a little, and we knew the people in there were pretty much dead. the hand wasn't hitting the window anymore.

then it switched to me being in my kitchen. the tidal wave was still on the way. i couldn't figure out if i'd just seen a movie that all of the above stuff had happened in, or if it was "my other self." i guess i had some sort of identical me out there that i had some kind of mind-link to or something. anyway, my kitchen was a little bit different, and somehow some of us had climbed onto these poles to try and avoid the water that was coming. they were just high enough so that only our lower bodies would be submerged after the wave hit.. if we could hold on during the initial impact. i was clinging to the top of this pole next to a cabinet in my kitchen. there was no roof anymore. there was a shelf on top of the cabinet that was a little higher than my head. i put my cats up on that shelf. they knew something bad was going on, so they just stayed there and looked at me with their eyes wide open and their fur standing on end.

at some point, i realized i had to go do something. i climbed down from the pole and raced the wave to this high-rise apartment building downtown. i helped a crippled woman get up to the roof, and i watched the wave hit from there. there was a woman with short reddish hair talking to me, but i don't remember what she said. we had to stay up there for a long time until the water receded.

then i was out in the desert with my mom. not sahara-like desert, but american desert where there's still some plant life. and hills instead of dunes. it was the old west. there weren't a lot of people left after the waves had hit. i found some cactus fruit, and i was eating it and sharing it with my mom. tom selleck came and offered to let us eat with him at his camp. i started fighting with him because he was evil. he had a bunch of indian-skin items. even his boots were indian-skin. my mom was really hungry and wanted to go with him, but i was arguing with her.. and then someone called me and woke me up.
